Clubs available for 1st-4th graders:
Roadrunners Recycle
Students in the Roadrunners Recycle Club will meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:25-7:45. During this time, students will collect paper from recycling bins and shred it. Shredded paper will be used in the Discovery Park for composting and mulching. Students cannot ride the bus or eat breakfast at school on their assigned day. Drop off students in the car line by the cafeteria doors between 7:25-7:30 on their assigned morning. If students are dropped off after 7:30, students will go to their regular arrival location. Register for the Roadrunners Recycle Club
Compost Crew
Students interested in joining the Composting Crew will serve during their lunchtime. Composting Crew members will monitor other students putting food into the compost buckets. They will NOT touch other students' food. Once lunch is over, the Composting Crew will put lids on the buckets and put them in designated locations. The number of days students serve will depend on the number of students who sign up. Sign up for the Compost Crew
Clubs available for 3rd and 4th graders:
Animal Care Club
3rd and 4th graders who love caring for animals are encouraged to join the Animal Care Club. Students will help feed the goats and pig. They will give fresh water to the goats, pig, and chickens. They will help clean up their habitats. THIS MEANS THEY WILL BE SHOVELING POOP! If your child is not interested in scooping poop, please don’t sign them up. Animal Care Club members must be dropped off between 7:25-7:30 in the mornings by the cafeteria doors in the car line. If you arrive after 7:30, please send your child inside to their usual arrival location. NO LATE DROP OFFS! Animal Care Club meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Register for the Animal Care Club
Jr. FFA
3rd and 4th graders have the opportunity to join the Mansfield FFA chapter and participate in activities related to agriculture. Students do NOT have to have an animal project, but they will need to participate in the Tarrant County Youth Fair if they do not have an animal project. More information about animal projects, the Tarrant County Youth Fair, and the FFA program can be found in a news article on the Tarver-Rendon website.
