  • Freshmen, sophomores and juniors: Underclass picture days are next Tuesday (Aug. 28) and Wednesday (Aug. 29) during your English class. If you plan to purchase pictures this year, pick up an order envelope from your English teacher and bring it back for your scheduled picture date/time. Photos taken Tuesday and Wednesday will be used in the 2019 Tiger yearbook.


  • Seniors: If you did not get photos taken over summer break, photographers will be back on campus Sept. 12-13 for another round. Listen for further instructions as we get closer to the date.

  • Maverick Jackets will be here September 19 in the cafeteria during all lunches.  If you are eligible to receive a letter jacket, you will receive a packet from you coach or sponsor.

  • Ladies and gentlemen, step team interest meeting is TODAY after school in T16, Ms. Brenner’s room. You do not have to have step experience, we will teach you.

  • Attention students that want to get involved with student council. It is time to come by R3 and pick up an application to be a delegate on the council. Applications are outside of room R3. Don’t forget to scan the QR code to complete the online portion. We will have our first meeting on club day.


  • Red Wagon parade donations are also due by August 31st. All clubs/organizations and athletic groups are encouraged to participate in the Red Wagon Parade at the homecoming pep rally. Sign up for your donation item and send forms to Mrs. Golden in R3.

  • Students – please remember that if you are wearing shorts and a t-shirt to school, both must be in dress code!


  • Students – make sure that you clean up your trash during lunch!  If trash is being left, you will no longer be allowed to sit in certain areas during lunch.

  • Chill Out with Mansfield Choir! Kona Ice will be here THIS Wednesday, August 29th at 3pm!!Stop by and Chill Out with “The Voice of the Tiger”


  • This Wednesday is the first official after school chess club meeting in U11.  Players of all levels are welcome, we can teach you chess! Meetings are over around 4 to 4:30.

  • Hey juniors!! We still have class shirts available, and we want you to get one! This is a huge fundraiser for our prom, so you don’t want to miss out! They are $20 in Mr. Davis’ room in B11. Come get one before they run out!

  • Students - Please get on your iPad and open up the Agent app.  Click on your iPad name at the top and choose the “Send Data” button to ensure that your iPad is updating and working properly.
  • Attention UIL Academics: If you are interested in competing in UIL Academics or joining leadership, please see Mrs. Welch in B-6 right after announcements.

  • The cookie stand by the cafeteria will officially open tomorrow and be open on Thursdays and Fridays during all lunches.  Come by and get two hot, fresh, Otis Spunkmeyer cookies or only $1!

  • Attention ALL students!   There are approximately 20 seats left on the Border Brawl Fan Bus!  If you want to cheer on your Tigers in Oklahoma on Friday, stop by the bookkeeper’s office TODAY to get your ticket for the chartered fan bus! And remember, sales are now open to juniors, sophomores, and freshmen!  


  • Stop by and see the bookkeeper TODAY!

  • Attention all freshman, freshman class shirts are now on sale in your social studies classrooms. The shirts are only $15 and all money needs to be returned to Ms. Kramer in B8 or Mrs. Hamilton in W10. The shirts will be on sale all year long but we are limited on some sizes.  Also, freshman class, notebook paper donations for our class homecoming wagon can be dropped off at W10 or B8, all donations would be appreciated.

  • Border brawl football tickets will be sold until 1:00 today at the bookkeepers office.  $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. If you purchased a ticket to ride the charter bus that does NOT cover your entrance into the game.  You will need to purchase a ticket either at the bookkeeper's office today or at the gate when arriving at the game.

  • The MHS tennis team is having a spirit night tonight at MooYah from 3-9pm. Please say, "I support MHS tennis" when you order and a portion of the profits will go to the tennis team. See you tonight!!
